Which means that the actual in-game item hunt, the part that is actually supposed to make the game engaging, falls to the wayside.Īdditionally, every item you find while actually playing is no longer evaluated by how useful it is to your character, but only by how much gold it is worth on the AH. Unless you got exceptionally lucky, it was much faster to make gold on the AH - all you had to do was remember what stats on which slots are valuable and then try to snipe insta-buys from people who didn't know what they're doing. Simply because the most efficient way to gear up was to play the acution house, not the game. ![]() The D3 auction house - even ignoring the RMAH - is the antithesis of what the game is about.
